Michelle and Caitlin became quick friends when Caitlin moved across the street in 1997. Over the years, they have spent many hours dancing in Caitlin’s front yard, playing Mario Party on GameCube (their favorite is Mario Party 5), and obsessing over Taylor Swift. In the early 2000s, Jackie joined Caitlin and Michelle on Taylorcrest just a few doors down, becoming best friends just as instantly. Sara, Jackie, Michelle, and Caitlin have been a core group together since high school. After graduation in 2013, they all went to different colleges but remained close through their grext and summers in Houston. Caitlin had the honor to serve as Michelle’s Maid of Honor in 2019. Although Michelle moved to Colorado with her husband, Caitlin and Michelle have remained as close as ever.

Amy and Caitlin became best friends in 1995 at Southwest Methodist Day School in Houston, Texas along with Kim. The duo grew strong between their love for 90s country music and small-town-Texas traditions inherited from each of their generations -long Texan families. Although they never attended the same school after Pre-K, their families remained close. Amy, Kim, and Caitlin spent many summers together attending VBS, staying up too late, and enjoying the neighborhood pools. Amy recently moved back to the Houston, TX area with her husband and sweet daughter. Caitlin had the honor of serving as Amy’s bridesmaid in 2021.

Katja and Caitlin were introduced in 2021 through mutual friends. The first time they met, Caitlin was wearing a shirt that read “Dump Him,” which sparked a heart-to-heart. Their friendship grew rapidly, and the pair often found themselves laughing together during their greater friend group outings. As a side passion, Katja is a fitness instructor. Caitlin loves to attend Katja’s classes to support her (even if she doesn’t follow the cues the best!). In 2023, Katja and Caitlin travelled to Italy to celebrate Katja’s 30th birthday. They made incredible memories roaming the streets of Rome at 3 a.m., visiting the Trevi Fountain as the sun rose, and swimming in the cold waters of the beaches of Positano. Katja lives in Houston, TX but Caitlin loves when Katja visits her in Austin.

Kim and Caitlin became best friends in 1995 at Southwest Methodist Day School in Houston, Texas along with Amy. Although they never attended the same school after Pre-K, their families remained close. Amy, Kim, and Caitlin spent many summers together attending VBS, staying up too late, and enjoying the neighborhood pools. Caitlin and Kim both attended the University of Houston, and were roommates their freshman year. Kim’s husband also attended UH. In 2021, Kim and Caitlin became neighbors again when Caitlin moved one street over in Ashford Forest. Kim was the first of Caitlin’s friends to begin building a family of her own family, and she and her husband now have three beautiful children of their own.

Sara and Caitlin became friends in 10th grade during English class. Their senior year, the pair served as co-Editor-in-Chief of the high school newspaper, the Oracle. Sara, Jackie, Michelle, and Caitlin have been a core group together since high school. After graduation in 2013, they all went to different colleges but remained close through their grext and summers in Houston. In 2014, Sara joined Caitlin at UH and joined alongside her in Delta Gamma. Sara and Caitlin got to spend the majority of their collegiate years together, attending DG events and coog football games. After a stint in Chicago, Sara returned to Houston where she is now an English and Journalism teacher at the high school where she and Caitlin met (and is now the advisor of the Oracle!)

Jackie and Caitlin became best friends when Jackie’s family moved into their home in Taylorcrest, just two doors down from Caitlin. Jackie and Caitlin had a love for animals, and Jackie was introduced to her love of horse riding by Caitlin’s mom. Jackie and Caitlin have always had similar taste in music. Each went through an “emo” phase in middle school, sparking their joint love for pop-punk. They attended (and continue to attend!) many pop-punk concerts together. Sara, Jackie, Michelle, and Caitlin have been a core group together since high school. After graduation in 2013, they all went to different colleges but remained close through their grext and summers in Houston. Jackie attended college at MICA in Baltimore, Maryland and recently returned to the Houston area. Jackie is a fantastic artist and equestrian, and often combines her two loves through her creations.

Nathan and Houston met at Jim Ned at the beginning of the Iraq War. Houston would force Nathan to listen to classical music, such as Blink-182 and Breaking Benjamin on the way to Football and Powerlifting practice. The two went to different colleges but kept in contact through playing video games. A wedding, three children, and several bottles of Kraken later, Nathan and Houston suffer through I-35 to frequent each others life events. The two still play video games together where Houston carries Nathan in League of Legends, don't let him tell you otherwise.

Hunter and Houston have known each other a long time, due to the fact that they are biological brothers. The two would often get covered in cow excrement together when working cows with their father. Houston would frequently watch his brother progress further in the game file for Zelda Majora's Mask while hiding behind the stairs because, as some have said, the game is terrifying for a 8 year old. Due to the 7 year age gap, Houston frequently annoyed his older brother in the early days, but in the following years the two have grown close, despite Houston dethroning Hunter as "The Youngest Child". Hunter has made Houston an Uncle thrice over.

Justin and Houston met at Jim Ned Middle School after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. The two grew close in high school where they bonded over their similar senses of humor, music, and love of the massive multiplayer online video game World of Warcraft. They went to different colleges but often met up in the bustling metropolis of Abilene to frequent local watering holes and occasionally get into mischief. After college they remained close, in different cities.

Joshua and Houston met shortly after highschool in a Clyde Texas cow pen. A couple years later they both attended Texas Tech and roomed together, where Houston introduced Joshua to a crippling addiction to LoL. Years later in the fall of 2019, they roomed together in Austin, where they both had great expectations to experience the wonders of a city, Covid-19 had different plans for the two. After surviving a pandemic, the two remained close, but he is banned from the couple's house during football season due to "unfortunate game luck".

James and Houston both attended Jim Ned high school where the two bonded over lifting weights in the women's weight room. They went to different colleges but kept in touch through Discord. James moved to Austin shortly after Houston did, where the two frequent Dairy Queen and get small Oreo Blizzards (without cheese curds). Houston served as a groomsman in James's wedding in 2024.
